Street artist Banksy
Street artist Banksy has created his own amusement Park — nightmare version of Disneyland
If the word “Demoland” can you imagine the nightmarish version of Disneyland, then you’re probably right. This mystical and terrifying Park created by the famous street artist Banksy, known for his eccentric work. The Park opened in the UK, and its total area is just over a hectare. The project, which until the discovery was kept secret, located in an abandoned swimming pool complex Tropicana in Weston-super-Mare. It is a complex and intricate theme Park, over which Banksy worked together with 50 other artists from different countries of the world.
The entrance to the “Demoland” costs £3 (4.7 USD), the Park will be open only 5 weeks. Here’s how it is written in the official brochure of the attraction:
“Are you looking for an alternative to soulless, banal and mawkish way to spend a weekend with your family? Or just want something cheaper? Then this is the place for you — it’s a chaotic new world where you can hide from mindless escapism. Instead of a stall with burgers we have a Museum. Instead of souvenir shops we have a library. However, and gift store we have here too. This ride is for adults, one can see gross images, disturbing images, lots of smoke and flares, as well as to hear not normative lexicon. It is forbidden to come with knives, spray cans, drugs and lawyers from the Walt Disney corporation”.
“Demoland” is a nightmarish version of Disneyland unsuitable for children
